When the funeral parlor received my brother's body the same day we disconnected him from life support, the morticians hands went right through his body. He was missing all 7 layers of skin on 70% of his body and sepsis was found throughout his body. He had to be wrapped in 3 layers of gauze and put in 3 body bags. He contracted E. Coli, pseudomonas and a blood infection in this hospital. They killed him. While I was present in the room, a male nurse put the name of the patient next door on my brother's blood sample and sent it to the lab. My brother results got mixed up. When we ordered copies of all reports, it's amazing how pages were missing from specific dates. But, a lawyer told us we didn't have a case because he was sick when he entered the hospital (mind you for different reasons than what he died of), plus he said you can not sue and win if it is a teaching hospital. And this was supposed to be one of the better hospitals in NY. If there were actually real doctors around instead of just the nurses maybe all of these medical errors would not occur. I will never forget that this hospital KILLED my brother.<br />N. HarrisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
