(Nasdaq: TEVA) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted approval for the Company's Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to market its generic version for Ortho-McNeil's anticonvulsant Topamax® (Topiramate) Tablets, 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg. Shipment of this product has commenced.
MUMBAI (Reuters) - Indian drug firm Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd said it had received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to sell topiramate tablets.
Annual sales of Topamax® were approximately $2.4 billion in the United States for the twelve months that ended December 30, 2008, based on IMS sales data.
