He used the word bipartisan quite a bit here.  It is unique that promises, politics, etc. are still compared to the past, but you can’t do that today as technology is impacting everything.  This is the biggest transition in world economy and healthcare that has taken place in many years.  They talk about the fraud in Medicare and how they need to police it better.  One thing of interest is the mention of insurers expenses in fighting fraud, well the same folks that fight fraud contribute to it as well, like the Ingenix inquisition.

Newt is doing ok, just wrote another book to sell.  Also mentioned here is making medical break throughs available to patients, and that is out of the doctors and patient’s control, FDA approval makes little difference. You can read the listing at the Wall Street Journal here.  It’s a good outline, but how do you make it work.  Transparency is here today that didn’t exist years ago as well as the internet with everyone able to speak and communicate, it’s a different world and old methodologies don’t work.  It took many years to get here and there’s a lot of complexities to work through and solve.  Don’t let reality get in the way says Stewart.

Political Humor Health Care Crisis

'If you have a better idea, show it to me." That was President Barack Obama's challenge two weeks ago to House Republicans regarding health-care reform. He has since called for a bipartisan forum, not to start over on health reform but to "move forward" on the "best ideas that are out there."

The best ideas out there are not those that were passed by the House and Senate last year, which consist of more spending, more regulations and more bureaucracy. If the president is serious about building a system that delivers more quality choices at lower cost for every American, here's where he should start:

Also worth watching is another Daily Show video that was done just before Newt came on, the Republican party in Hawaii.  You have to love it, as they are talking about the spending from a very expensive meeting place with state of the art hospitality.  It is funny to see individuals in a very expensive surrounding and with a lot of money spent and talking about the rest of us who can’t afford much of anything.  It doesn’t look like doing with less at all here.  The one woman says appearances are important and what the consequences are, a must watch here with their private submarine (grin).  BD
