Microsoft Announce Partnership to Deliver Powerful, First-of-its-Kind Entertainment Experience to Consumers Through Xbox 360

 And now for the health care take on this...as social networks continue to grow, both recreational and business networks, will we someday see the X-Box at the central focus of some professional medical networks...being able to converse via the X-Box...view PACS images on the X-Box for another simple example...in other words does the X-Box have the capability to invade health care...well it's not out of the question, but will somebody do it!   We already know that surgeons who play games have increases their motorized hand skills...anyway, this may be a little far fetched for now but who knows when we may start seeing that friendly X-Box appearing at health care facilities some day....some hospitals already have them for patient use.......BD  

LAS VEGAS — Jan. 6, 2008 — Microsoft Corp. and telecommunications leader BT announced they are bringing together the next-generation TV service BT Vision with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 games and entertainment system. All BT broadband customers will have the unique opportunity to receive the best in high-definition gaming, television and movies through an Xbox 360 console, in a powerful, all-in-one entertainment experience. BT Vision, which is powered by the Microsoft Mediaroom Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) platform, plans to make this first-of-its-kind device and service offering available to customers in the middle of 2008. The announcement was made during the keynote address by Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates and Microsoft President Robbie Bach of the Entertainment & Devices Division at 2008 International CES on Jan. 6.
