Virtual conferences are making their way in to real time conventions on the web. I attended the conference in February, but with current economic conditions, even companies like G.E. have pulled their "in person" presence with a booth for next year..there will be more virtual conferences online as times move on. The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society will hold its next online HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo on April 23-24. The event, which is free to "qualified" individuals and includes a nominal fee for others, includes free access to the exhibit hall for all.More than 2,200 participants registered for the last virtual conference in November 2007.
