What more can you say…we know this is wellness and there are algorithms to make us do better things…well so the model says. Here we go again “earn rewards for completing health challenges’..they are going to keep working on it until the right algorithm combinations sucks in enough people. Now I’m not against wellness at all but gosh darn, I write about this stuff all the time and it’s the same thing, just different words…and is it working..not according to the news and studies I read as people are as obese as ever and myself I could move around a bit more…we can all find something we can do better by all means but gosh darn, it’s the same old rhetoric again and again, different images, engage and reward the patient and of course save money.
The other day I went to both a Walgreens and a Rite Aid store and darn “would somebody please bring the elevator music back”…I’m burned out on flu shot recordings playing in my head the whole time I’m in the store, and I don’t want to play the Rite Aid video game that runs advertised on the PA system over and over. This is the problem is that we can’t get away from the over doses that make noise constantly. Then you can go to a dating site online that sends you flow sheets every two weeks on your progress and matching..enough! People are not cut out to be walking little analytics squattie bodies.
There’s no “race to the moon” with losing weight, you stay on earth to do that (grin)…marketing..geez. You can visit the partners page here and there’s the old stand by data sellers with Fitbit, Jawbone and a few others over there at the CafeWell Connect page. So if things are getting a little tough maybe with WellPoint (who’s a distributor for IBMWatson) not selling enough we have a new route to go…power Welltok with IBM Watson.
Are the World’s IT Infrastructures Today Even Too Complex for IBMwatson? It’s All About Generating The “Right” Context, Only Your Query Master Knows For Sure…

Why in the heck can’t they get Congress to buy in with IBMWatson as there’s good place for high speed research and data, the need it. I said that quite a while back.
Use of IBMwatson Technology in Congress Would Allow For Smarter Laws and Decision Processes With Bonus Points For Lowering Over All Impact of Lobbyists
I like data that makes me smart and I wouldn’t have written an EMR years ago to create efficiencies and so on but now, I’m starting to dislike all of this as it’s overdone and it doesn’t work with me with subliminal or otherwise “healthcare shoved in my face 24 hours”.
I don’t like a virtual world called a “café” either, I’ll take a real Starbucks instead with a card that rewards me there with a free coffee with the purchase of so many. This is the problem and it’s stuff designed like this that is making it hard for people to tell when the virtual world ends and the real world begins. The move HER shows how that can happen when you have too much brand affiliation and too much quantitated “stuff” in your face all the time. Folks with these platforms just haven’t quite caught up to the addictive algorithms used by dating sites but they still keep trying and we still keep saying “ho hum”…
Movie “HER”– Good Example On How Folks Can’t Separate And/Or Unite The Virtual With The Real World, Billionaires Are Made Out of Those Who Know How to Keep These Areas “Gray” With Creating and Maintaining The Addictive Code That Does It…
I f someone wants to really create a great pilot program, make a wellness portal for Congress so we can begin as consumers doing some risk assessments on them so we know how to vote and perhaps we can look at their data and recommend which “rewards” programs are good for them (grin). We see and here that dysfunctional group in the news all the time and I can’t think of a better place for a pilot as if it can help those folks, well maybe consumers might think twice, so go fix those folks and give us some role models, and drug stores, please bring back the elevator music…a big sign with flu shots available works well and is quiet and doesn’t bother me while I’m shopping or trying to talk to a pharmacist. Congress Needs a “Wellness Portal” As Predictive Behavior Analytics And Behavior Modification Is Needed So Consumers Can Start Scoring Congressmen To Create Risk Assessments Along With Adding Pay for Performance Assessments To Their Positions….
IBM's Watson Group has made its first investment in a startup tied to its cognitive computing ecosystem by participating in a $22.1 million venture round for Welltok.
Qualcomm Ventures and New Enterprise Associates were the other participants in Welltok's Series C funding round along with existing investors in the company. Welltok has raised more than $40 million in the last nine months.
The idea behind Welltok is that the health industry can use social engagement tools and analytics to improve outcomes.
Welltok is developing its CafeWell Concierge, which is powered by Watson. CafeWell uses Watson to talk about health management and optimization. Welltok and IBM forged a joint development pact last year
