Century City Doctors Hospital has given a $1.2 million contract to a Massachusetts information technology company. Under the terms of the deal Charlestown, Mass.-based Keane Inc. will install its Patcom revenue cycle management product by the end of 2007. Keane plans to partner with Medsphere Systems Corp., a commercial provider of open source technology for the health-care industry being called on to install all of Century City Doctors Hospital's clinical systems. Keane, whose U.S headquarters is in Charlestown, was purchased by San Ramon-based Caritor Inc. for $854 million in February 2007. Century City Doctors Hospital is a 176-bed physician-owned acute care hospital in Los Angeles.
"This joint implementation with Medsphere at Century City Doctors Hospital is a testament to the effectiveness of our partnership in providing a total solution for revenue cycle, financial and clinical needs, which can be replicated at other facilities," said Larry Coon, Keane's Vice President of Professional Services. "We look forward to partnering with Century City Doctors Hospital and are confident in our ability to meet the aggressive goal of having the hospital's billing systems up and running by the end of the calendar year."
