The Royal Victoria, Northern Irelands biggest and best known hospitals complex, will be using Wi-Fi in its buildings not for internet access but to keep track of expensive and critical medical equipment from defibrillators to ultrasound scanners The Royal Victoria site in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland has selected Ekahau, a provider of Wi-Fi-based Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), to help management and doctors keep track of vital medical equipment.
