Well even this guy needed a referral...BD
AN EGYPTIAN mummy nearly 3,000 years old was examined yesterday using the latest in NHS imaging technology. Nesperennub, a male whose body was enclosed in a linen and plaster case inside a coffin 1.5m long, has undergone a whole-body CT scan as researchers attempt to reveal more of his secrets.
Experts from the British Museum asked for Nesperennub to be scanned at University College Hospital in London because it uses the latest CT technology that allows individual image "slices" to be created at a thickness of 0.6mm.
Two radiographers spent about four hours carrying out a series of scans for the museum's Department of Egyptology.
