Voice recognition coming to radiology...BD
GE HealthcareIT has entered into a partnership with Pittsburgh, PA-based MultiModal Technologies (M*Modal) to roll out advanced radiology reporting technology. GE announced the agreement at the 2008 Annual Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) conference held from May 15-18 in Seattle. As a part of the agreement M*Modal’s, AnyModal (TM) Conversational Documentation Services (CDS), with its advanced speech recognition and understanding technology, will be incorporated into GE’s Centricity RIS-IC radiology reporting module.
