In time the Misys name will go away as branding combines as well as the companies and Allscripts will be the prevailing name that is retained. By combining both companies there’s a lot of software 
integration to take place. Headquarters now will be officially in Illinois.

Misys Healthcare’s purchase of Allscripts has closed, the companies said Monday – robbing the Triangle of a headquarters and some workers.
The combined company is now one of the largest providers of software for health care providers in the country. In a statement, the company says that it offers its products to more than 700 U.S. hospitals and that more than 150,000 doctors use its software every day.
The official corporate name is Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions, which the company shortens to AllscriptsMisys, without the hyphen, on second reference. But the company will brand itself as Allscripts.
