A couple competitors are driving down the cost of sequencing and Helicos may feel the pressure as time passes to perhaps look in to their 
current pricing structure, as the race is on. This is a great video which explains the process and I wish this had been available back at the time when I interviewed Dr. Patrice Milos, Chief Science Officer at Helicos.
Stanford University also recently took delivery of a sequencing machine from Helicos in the last month as well. BD
