Small rallies in favor of a national health care system took place across the country today.
Seattle's event was called "Shake it up for Single Payer," and was held outside the federal building Monday April 27th. The rally was organized by local belly dancers who say they often pay out of pocket for medical insurance.
"Largely, artists don't have health insurance because most people get their health insurance through their employers and artists work for themselves and so quite often it's difficult," said rally organizer and belly dancer Carolyn Stirling
