This is another big surprise in the fact that let’s say 3 months from now you want to buy health insurance, not from the exchanges but via a normal insurance carrier like has been done for years.  Doesn’t work that way anymore as they are locking up the stores until next open enrollment period too.  I was not aware of this until I read it here.

Those Damn “Killer Algorithms” Keep Screwing Up Obamacare, One more Delay Added for Small Businesses, Static Text Laws and Digital Technology Crossing Hairs, We Continue To Endure the Constant Rise And Fall Of The Machines…

We used to be able to change when we wanted or buy a new policy but that too has changed as insurers fear that people will only buy insurance when they are sick and need it.  Since they can’t use their former “risk assessments” for pricing with pre-existing conditions for one, this is why this is happening.  In the meantime with the exchange policies some are fining it hard to find doctors and hospitals in network.

Obamacare - One Big “Attack of the Killer Algorithms” No Matter Which Direction You Turn, Compounded With a Lot of Government and Consumer “Algo Duping”….

One agent here was quoted and he said didn’t know of any major insurers that were going to continue offering polices beyond the extension times that have been provided, and those don’t cover everyone.  What we missed out on was the public plan as that shifted the healthcare model into territories with new models that are not working as insurers were afraid they would lose too much business.  Well now with the economic downturn, this model of Obamacare is so heavily tied with complexities, just like stock markets that nobody understands it and it keeps changing all the time.  Looks like complexities are on their way to choke out the stock market as the math models are not working there very well and we might say we are seeing the same thing here.  Healthcare is just a bunch of math models and cost algorithms that don’t work together.

The virtual worlds and the real world values are what I call “The Grays” and it’s getting worse as people can’t tell the difference until something in the real world stops working.

Virtual Worlds, Real World We Have A Problem And It’s A Big One With A Lot of Gray Areas Finding Where The Defining Lines Exist, Confusing Many With A Lot of Weird Values And Strange Perceptions…

I started about 3 years ago with a series I call “The Attack of the Killer Algorithms” to where I took every day events when an algorithm or code was creating problems with flawed data.  You can visit the Algo Duping/Killer Algorithm page here for the links and some videos that will help turn you on to what’s really going on here.  That in essence was the basis for the entire Occupy Movement when it started and even they didn’t know what it was at the time but knew enough that something wasn’t working.

With all the talk about markets being fixed, what do you think this is?  BD

WASHINGTON — Americans thinking about buying health insurance on their own later this year, or maybe switching to a different insurer, are probably out of luck. The policies are going off the market as a little-noticed consequence of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.

With limited exceptions, insurance companies have stopped selling until next year the sorts of individual plans that used to be available year-round. That locks out many of the young and healthy as well as the sick and injured, even those who can afford to buy without government subsidies.

The next wide-open chance to sign up comes in November, when enrollment for 2015 begins in the government-run insurance marketplaces created by the health care law. Companies are following that schedule even for the plans they sell outside the federal and state exchanges.

The health care law allows insurers to keep selling all year. But it also creates the conditions prompting them to stop.

Nate Purpura, spokesman for eHealthInsurance.com, which sells policies from 200 companies across the nation, said at this point he knows of none planning to offer major medical insurance after this month, except to people with qualifying life events.
