This hospital has quite a history going for it as year ago it was closed down quickly by the old Catholic Healthcare West system and then about 4 years later it re-opened on it’s own. I used to do some customized data work there a few years ago. The building in the front is a California Landmark. When the Catholic system closed it down and was bleeding all the assets out of it to give to other Catholic hospitals in the area, it was quite the story as it happening fast and many employees took it upon themselves to protect and take home and store patient medical records for safety as everything was being thrashed.
When the hospital re-opened again on it’s out without the Catholic affiliation all the employees brought those records back. Pretty neat story and of course by today’s standards that would not happen, but that was then and this is now. Most of those who lost their jobs in the closure all came back to work there as well, it’s a close community. The CEO there used to run for the hills when I came around as he hat to look at technology when I came around:) Those were interesting times as the Hospital IT manager couldn’t install SQL servers for one thing and that was some of the consulting I did there among other things.

I certainly think they are entitled to equal pay.
