The hospital has been opened since 1962, and the new tenant, possibly Sutter, as mentioned, will pay 3 times the amount of rent, etc.  Employees are employed by Tenet and will be subject to who ever the new owner is and hopefully will be able to stay on, as the hospital is the largest employer in Los Gatos.  BD 

It's the worst news I've had in a long time," Dr. Ernest Thomas said. Thomas is the hospital's former chief of staff and currently sits on its board of directors. He has practiced at Community Hospital since 1965.  HCP, Inc. of Long Beach, a health-care real estate investment firm, owns the hospital buildings and property.

HCP is now looking for a new hospital to run the day-to-day operations. "We're optimistic," HCP executive vice president Ed Henning said. "We are having discussions with several people to take it over."
