As Cegedim states on their website they have locations in 80 countries and now they can add electronic medical records to their suite of healthcare offerings. The company is traded and listed on the NYSE Euronext stock exchange and is headquartered in France. In January the company purchased another US company SK&A Information Services who specializes in CRM software for healthcare and life sciences.
The mergers and acquisition continue and it appears the Pulse acquisition was a missing link of their medical software offerings. As I read the website, Cegedim Healthcare is a pretty well known in Europe and was only created in 2009, so a very new company in the healthcare area and the entire corporation was created in 1969. From the Pulse website:
“Pulse EHR is a complete suite of applications which allows physicians to document the patient encounter in an efficient and intuitive manner. One key to its ease of adoption is that Pulse EHR allows multiple modes of documentation so physicians can choose the mode which is most familiar and efficient for them. Also key to practice adoption is Pulse’s module-based system, the most flexible product of its kind in the industry, allowing practices to purchase and implement modules of the EHR suite, on a pathway towards “meaningful use.”
