The folks in Europe no doubt will get the banking side of the business as well. With the recent changes announced by the NHS both the analytic and health insurance folks are biting at the bit to start making some money.

I say the same about our systems here in the fact that we are so overloaded with medical claim processing companies and business intelligence software that all take money out of each claim with transactions and they make millions and billions doing this while doctors and hospitals struggle and deliver the care. BRUSSELS – The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has announced the formation of HIMSS Analytics
Europe (HAE), a German-based company that will provide healthcare organizations, governments and information technology companies extensive data resources and services about the adoption and use of healthcare information technology in Europe.
The development of the initial offerings will occur over the next several months with a full launch of resources planned for late September 2010.
"HIMSS Analytics Europe services will enable hospitals, their IT suppliers and governments to make practical assessments of their IT activities," said H. Stephen Lieber, president and CEO of HIMSS. "This is a crucial step for HIMSS Europe in its mission to transform healthcare through the effective use of information technology."
