BRUSSELS – The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has announced the formation of HIMSS Analytics Europe (HAE), a German-based company that will provide healthcare organizations, governments and information technology companies extensive data resources and services about the adoption and use of healthcare information technology in Europe.
The development of the initial offerings will occur over the next several months with a full launch of resources planned for late September 2010.
"HIMSS Analytics Europe services will enable hospitals, their IT suppliers and governments to make practical assessments of their IT activities," said H. Stephen Lieber, president and CEO of HIMSS. "This is a crucial step for HIMSS Europe in its mission to transform healthcare through the effective use of information technology."
