There’s a lot of new technology coming up in healthcare, but this is not one of them.  Actually I guess if one did purchase one, it does make for a cool looking lamp, but not to be used for medical cures.  The machines were sold since 2002, so they had about 5 or more years running before the FDA caught up with them.  I noticed there were sites in other countries which were not affected by the recall.  BD

Federal regulators have issued another Class I recall for an unapproved medical device.  This time, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has imagerecalled the Vibrational Integrated Bio-photonic Energizer (VIBE) Machine Multi-Frequency Electromagnetic Field Generator sold by VIBE Technologies of Colorado.  Class 1 recalls are the most serious type of recall and involve situations in which there is a reasonable probability that use of the product will cause serious injury or death.

On its website, Vibe Technologies claims that the VIBE Machine ” increases your inner-connectively to your DNA, giving it what it needs to balance itself. This machine is a technological breakthrough that enhances the human body by helping it reach its optimum vibrational energy level”. However, the FDA says that that the VIBE Machine is not approved, and that the company’s claims that it can be used to treat or cure medical conditions and diseases such as cancer, depression, infection, and pain are unproven.

  1. I wonder what prompted the recall--did someone die after using the machine?

Stories like these are why it's good to have a healthy skepticism about "breakthroughs" marketed without adequate scientific investigation.

This reminds me of the cancer fungus guy--I actually had a discussion with a patient about that, which goes to show you ideas are circulated not based on merit but on reproducibility, the so-called meme theory put out by Richard Dawkins.

  2. You know anymore with everything that is flying around, you do have to investigate, and actually the comments on the fungus post were great too, thanks, as I still have people every day looking that one up so they are informed when they check in here hopefully.

  3. For anyone that has read anything negative about the VIBE machine, the FDA has planted it. With that being said, I certainly hope that you have a clue why they would not want to make a positive statement and you do not have to be rocket scientist to figure it out. More FDA Bullshit. People are dying from eating peanut butter tainted and these jerk offs are chasing Vibe Machines for their pharmaceutical buddies. They are all scumbags and corrupt. The FDA's paychecks come from the pharmaceutical industry.

  4. I used a VIBE machine several times and felt better for it. I told this to one of my peers, so this statement comes peer-reviewed. You have about as much chance of dying from using the VIBE as you do from taking your next breath.
The FDA is probably after the VIBE Machines because the machine's creator wouldn't sell it to one of the big pharma companies.

  7. I agree...FDA bs! People, wake up, PLEASE! We are an energetic mind/body/spirit complex being and there are other beings out there who are working very hard to make these very organic, loving modalities available for us so that we can heal our "selves" and raise our Consciousness! You might want to take a closer look at what you're eating too and who's behind the crap we're told is good for us! http://www.seedsofdeception.com/Public/Home/index.cfm
I use this machine and it's over the top! I feel better physically, emotionally and spiritually. Please do more research!!
