It was just a couple days ago that NextGen inked a deal with Dell to market and sell their ambulatory MD medical records system as well. Dell will be using the cloud to host the NextGen medical records system. With the shrinking business of selling to physician’s group this will give the company arm to work more with hospital system integrations.

("QSI") QSII -1.28% announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire CQI Solutions, Inc., a provider of surgery information systems installed at more than 100 of the nation's premier hospitals. CQI will become part of QSI's wholly owned subsidiary, NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., offering specific solutions to clients of the NextGen(R) Inpatient Solutions business unit.
New Braunfels, Texas-based CQI has been a leader in surgical suite solutions within the hospital market for more than 15 years. Its patient scheduling and surgical information systems will be sold both independently as well as part of an integrated solution within the NextGen(R) Inpatient Solutions portfolio, which includes NextGen(R) Inpatient Clinicals and NextGen(R) Inpatient Financials.
