I say this in light of the recent news with white coats and ties no longer allowed as potential carriers of infectious diseases in the hospital. Come to think of it, I would guess even a phone might have the same potential as well.
There may not be enough sun in the UK either to fully power the unit. BD
The solar cells themselves are then attached using a "liquid stitch" method, although that apparently presented its own set of problems, as the application of the cells made it difficult to tie a knot.
