Here’s yet one more great video about “How Algorithms Shape Our World” and if you watch the market at all, you will find this of extreme interest as Kevin Slavin talks about the power of algorithms and when they rogue as well.

It’s a very good presentation about how some of the algorithms work and kind of finishes up with “if you’re an algorithm, life is looking pretty good, but can’t say the same for the human side”. I first ran this back in the summer of 2011 and recently found major news mediums running it, but I don’t think they “got it” for it’s true meaning and ran it because “its was popular” on the web.
