North Carolina C.A.R.E. Clinic Free Healthcare Clinic Looking for Volunteers–Clinic Date Is Set for December 7, 2010

A couple months ago the Free Clinic Association sponsored a free day of healthcare in the Washington DC area and their next move is in Charlotte, North Carolina.

No doubt the free clinics are probably not nearly as elaborate at the health fair days coming up in October 2010 for Staff Members of the US Senate by comparison that we pay for as taxpayers; the Free Clinics depend on contributions and philanthropy to help those who do not have insurance. BD

Senate Staffers Get Free Participation in a Health Fair To Include Massages, Food Tastings, Use of MP3 on the Taxpayer’s Tab

The National Association of Free Clinics (NAFC), along with the North Carolina Association of Free Clinics will be sponsoring a one day free medical clinic for the uninsured on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Charlotte, NC.
The NC C.A.R.E. Clinic will offer free basic medical care and health education.   Being a volunteer at this event will give you the opportunity to help hundreds of people gain access to medical care they otherwise may not receive.

Patient Information:

The C.A.R.E. Clinic patient hours are from 11:00am to 6:00pm.

Uninsured Patients Only. Walk-ins will be seen on a limited, first-come first-serve basis.

Volunteer Information:

We currently have volunteer opportunities for Medical and Non-Medical Volunteers for the following shift times:
Monday, December 6th - Set-up
All Day           9:00am - 5:00pm
First Shift        9:00am - 1:00pm
Second Shift   1:00pm - 5:00pm
Tuesday, December 7th - Clinic
All Day           9:00am - 8:00pm
First Shift       9:00am - 3:00pm
Second Shift 2:00pm - 8:00pm

Third Shift (FOR MDs, FNPs, APRNs and Dentists ONLY) 4:00pm - 8:00pm
