The District of Columbia Primary Care Association is a leader of the D.C. RHIO, which includes Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. Enabling physicians at the hospitals to view patient information stored in systems at the health centers will improve the quality of care and chronic disease management, and reduce duplicative work such as lab tests, according to proponents.
