You can even find Server 2008 on the site the Microsoft Store Site.   You can even order mice, keyboards, etc. but those will need to be imageshipped obviously, so the days of DVDs and CDs do seem to be coming to a close.  Obviously you want a high speed internet connection to download some of the larger files, but even the server should not be bad as I have in the past downloaded beta packages that contain and entire server or large software package.  It might be a good idea though to burn your own DVD though for safe keeping in case you need to reference the original installation files or any other type of repair or maintenance work.

If you are an Xbox fan, well that is on the site too, even the console, which also would need to be shipped.  The site is only for Microsoft products only, no 3rd party software/hardware is listed.  BD

The days of buying packaged software loaded onto CDs are numbered. Today, Microsoft quietly drove another nail into the coffin of packaged software by launching the Microsoft Store on the Web. After testing the software download store in Europe and Korea, Microsoft opened up its U.S. version today.
