You know I recently asked a doctor if he knew what the cost for Viagra was, he had no clue, he just prescribes it and hands out samples. Not too long ago I posted about what Viagra costs too.
What Does Viagra Cost?
Ok let’s do some math here, at $15.00 approximately a pill, an average prescription would be around 100 pills a year for Viagra, so we are looking at $1500.00 a year 
roughly. This is what your insurance pays and you just get the co-pay, so this is an eye opener for those maybe who never gave this much thought. Now we have Cialis up higher than Viagra. I watch some late night TV and now Cialis has a commercial running where you can get a lower dose and have the availability to take one every day so you don’t have to remember to take one before hand.
A little more math here, taking a pill every day at $16.67 a day…hmmm…price went up it seems or maybe there’s a small break on the lower dose, not sure on that part. Instead of 100 pills a year now you can have 365 pills a year. Is this marketing or a solution for ED? No matter what you call it, the Eli Lilly company is cashing in. Anyway, when you get those free samples now from your doctor you might treasure them a bit more now that you know what your insurance provider has to pay for them, not cheap. It seems to be a bit about supply and demand here just from what I am reading to help provide for that impromptu bathtub sex we see on TV.
I did a post last week that included a bit on clinical studies that are being done with a device that can do the same for you and even in time have the potential to correct the problem with some men, so perhaps the threat of a device taking over ED treatment might have a little impact here?

Administration of CIALIS to patients who are using any form of organic nitrate, is contraindicated. In clinical pharmacology studies, CIALIS was shown to potentiate the hypotensive effect of nitrates. In a patient who has taken CIALIS, where nitrate administration is deemed medically necessary in a life-threatening situation, at least 48 hours should elapse after the last dose of CIALIS before nitrate administration is considered. In such circumstances, nitrates should still only be administered under close medical supervision with appropriate hemodynamic monitoring
