I am trying out a Silverlight Twitter widget and so far so good. You do need to have Silverlight, just as you would Flash in your browser. There’s also a shortcut to allow others to follow you on Twitter too, one less item to have separate on the blog. Right underneath this version is the Flash version too, so either way it’s covered!
Underneath is another widget which scrolls through the most recent posts by thumbnail, and you don’t need Silverlight for this one.
If you do not have Silverlight installed, you will see this, a link that will install Silverlight and it works in Firefox very well too.
Here are a couple other online demos. Wonder if the new version of Office might have Silverlight, maybe?
Dynamic Calendar in Silverlight
Also, if you have never seen it, check out the Common User Interface, free at CodePlex for any EMR developer to work with. They have an entire forum and would this not be nice to have the same/similar screens at all hospitals, doctors offices, etc. with some nice easy to use dynamic screens with Silverlight.
Here’s a write up on a developer in New Zealand who I happen to know who has done some work with the project and uses it on his EMR.
Electronic Health Records Not Enough – Aggregation and Better Interfaces Needed
I tried out the demo myself a while back.
