If you are not familiar with Coviden, they were formally known as Tyco Healthcare and the name change took place in 2007 and separated itself from Tyco International. Years ago when in the logistics business I did quite a bit of business with companies that are now part of Coviden and those who later became part of Coviden. The company presents a myriad of products for use in healthcare with distribution centers and warehouses located throughout the US and the world. The link here shows the various companies and product names they represent.
Now they have purchased yet another company and back in January I notes the FDA recall on the stents from EV3.

Plymouth-based Ev3 on Tuesday announced plans to be acquired by Covidien, an Irish medical firm, in a deal worth $2.6 billion.
Set to close by July 31, the acquisition is the third and largest in a series of recent deals involving local medical companies.
Ev3 employs about 750 people in Minnesota, although the number includes sales representatives and support personnel who aren't actually based here, said company spokeswoman Julie Tracy.
