WILKES-BARRE — Universal health care supporters who gathered at a rally on Public Square on Thursday spoke out against health insurance companies charging people too much and covering too few people and stressed coverage should be extended to all.
Luzerne County Green Party co-chairman Carl Romanelli, who is active with Health Care 4 All PA, spoke in favor of House Bill 1660 and Senate Bill 300 which, if passed, would create a single-payer universal health insurance system for all Pennsylvanians.
