One more sign of how tense healthcare is getting. No word here on why the patient threatened nurses with a knife but obviously the situation was desperate enough for the patient to be shot and killed. Not too long ago in Long Beach an employee came in and shot 2 individuals and turned the gun on himself. There have been mixed stories out about why but someone told me along the line somewhere that the tension in Long Beach started over job layoffs, which again I don’t know if if has any truth to it or not, but one person shot was his boss.
