Oprah Show To Focus on Diabetes This Week

I don’t know if this would fall into being one of her “favorite things” show, but it is important and who better than Oprah to spread the word and capture a large audience. I watch Oprah too, so she had the audience. On her website I also noticed a Diabetes Support Board, one of many discussion forums on her site with consumers talking to consumers. The crowd will be filled with viewers who have diabetes and the article states she is going to make some type of announcement on how you can have your blood checked for free and of course Dr. Oz will be there to add more content and information from the clinical side and about lifestyles. CHICAGO - Oprah Winfrey is planning another giveaway, but this time it isn't a new car.
Winfrey plans to announce on her show Thursday an offer that will help Americans get their blood sugar tested for free.
She'll devote "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that day to the growing problem of diabetes. Dr. Mehmet Oz and other guests will talk about risk factors.

They'll recommend lifestyle changes and examine the hidden sugars in everyday meals and snacks.
