Feel you are too short...new surgery can now make you taller, that is if you can afford the price...The price tag is steep — about $120,000 — and it's not covered by insurance.  Other than having your bones broken in about 4 places and a bit of pain...well you get the picture...it is possible to gain 4 inches or so in height...BD

It's called limb lengthening and for years the procedure was done almost exclusively to correct developmental deformities or repair damage to limbs after an accident. But more and more often the surgery is being done for cosmetic reasons to help people primarily men grow a little taller.

"Orthopedic surgeons don't do cosmetic surgery. It's not in our normal routine. We do this for a guy who is maybe [5 foot 2] or [5 foot 3] and well adjusted but being short is something that is very disturbing to them. When they walk into a room and they're [5 foot 2] they can't stand it. … When you talk to them you can feel the pain they go through," said Rozbruch.

Orthopedic surgeons use several different methods to lengthen legs but the most common involves breaking the bones and attaching a steel frame to the outside of the limbs. The patient is taught to turn the screws on the frame, essentially pulling their own leg bones apart about one millimeter a day.

Every day for months you rotate screws attached to the pins in your legs. There are many moments of excruciating pain and the constant worry of infection. After that there is a grueling regimen of physical therapy. Now imagine, this was all completely voluntary — in fact, it was your idea.

  1. This only seems extreme to people who are tall and found attractive by women. for some of us 5'6" and under, every day turns into justifying even being alive knowing that we are the least attractive of all men. Simply because our growth plates fused before someone else's.
You might think this sounds crazy, but when you look into it, it is a fact. Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22gtSCJd9jA

  2. I swear to god I agree with the person above. Even if you disregard the dating scene, nobody even takes you seriously in business. It takes a long time to build respect. I am 5'3" and I have lived through this pain. It doesn't matter if you are the smartest in the class. It doesn't matter if you are the most hardworking employee. God help you if you are in the management (unless you are into retail business owning a shop or a restaurant). The odds are just so heavily biased against you, it's just bad.

  3. I totally agree with both poster above mine. I'm 5'4, the dating scene is almost impossible, unless you drive a Ferrari (which I dont) and from a business perspective you always seam to get "looked over".

  4. All the above comments are 100% correct. Life almost seems worthless. Others don't mind being friends and women alway say they think your nice and a good person. The bottom line is that your short and not man enough for them. I really don't care what some shrink says if you have selfesteem issues thier probably not a height disadvantage!

  5. Thanks everyone for your comments..yes this is not something you need to survive, but more or less a personal choice, and an expensive one at that, not to mention the healing time and what one goes through afterwards.

  6. from the female perspective....even though small girls are "cute"...god how i hate that word, when the world idolizes supermodels or even just average heighth bombshells, just two more inches akes a HUGE difference in acceptance and self esteem. people tell me "you have a GORGEOUS face....if only you had some legs.."
plus, i graduated valedictorian of my class, but for some reason an absece in height equals an absence in intelligence to people.

  7. Too short... too tall... too skinny... too fat... there's always something that people are going to be self conscience about. We live in a day & age where if there's a problem, it most likely can be fixed with surgery. My view... DO IT! If you've got the money, do lots of homework & go for it! You only live once (at least in this body) so make the most of it. Making yourself happy is SO! important, even if you put yourself through a little bit of pain & hell to get it. It's what you want that matters and you shouldn't let anyone talk you down, or make you feel guilty or wrong for doing something extreme in order to be able to look at yourself and say "WOW! I like what I see now, I am so happy I put myself through surgery." It's scary to have something different about yourself like a deformity or inadequacy, and have to go through every single day thinking... "Am I really going to have to go through my whole life living this way?" Even though everyone else around you could be telling you that "it isn't a big deal" or that "people can barely notice" you will continue to beat yourself up over something only surgery can change. So, DO IT! The weight will be gone from your shoulders... and you'll be able to focus on so many other things that you might not have before, just because you're not obsessing over something about yourself that you couldn't stand. I was born with extremely deformed feet. I just put myself through some major reconstructive bone surgery, and might need 1 more to achieve the goal. In tennis shoes... no one knew. But I've never worn any kind of shoe that didn't have laces, so everyone gave me the "You're crazy" speech. The first week was really hard. I was in bed and only rose to get to the bathroom. Even with all the meds, it hurt so bad to push my feet across the tile (since I couldn't lift the feet off the ground) but you know something... when you want something like this SO! bad you will gladly smile through every step of pain knowing how incredibly happy you're going to be when it's all said and done. Just remind people that you're not doing this to stand out exceptionally above average, but just to fit in better so you don’t stand out in a bad way... 21 days post-op and even though my feet still look a little beat up from surgery, I've never been so happy.

How often do you hear the words "I'd go out with him if he was a bit taller?"

  10. I am short. Not really short to the point of it being recognizable as a handicap, but short enough that it negatively affects my life.

I see that many men of my height share my pain. So much of what everyone has said before me is all too true. Most people just don't realize or don't understand how painful it is to be short. Just a few hours before writing this, a self proclaimed short man told me he loves being short and that my problems were just in my head. He is 5'7. I wish I could be that tall.

I am constantly reminded of it. I am crushed every time I have to ask the kid at the supermarket for help cause I can't reach something on the shelf; I always get laughed at. Of course I am always the butt of everyone's joke. The worst part is getting rejected by women shorter that me because I am too short. I'm actually extremely friendly and confident, but nothing matters as much as height. No one will give you the benefit of a doubt, and assume you are either too weak or to appear too young, no one will take you serious. I have missed out on a lot in my life because of it.
This has been so bad in my life that I moved to Japan because I was told I would be average height there. I am shorter than most school girls. It has driven me to the point of refusing to date women shorter than 5'8, that way if things were to work out, lol, that our children will at least have a chance to not live the nightmare that I have to.

I don't care what the price is, I would have this procedure done in an instant.

  12. This kind of makes me laugh. I am just over 4ft tall and female. I am all in proportion just really short. Yes it gets me down from time to time but not to the extremes that you all describe and you are no where near as short as me. You really need to put things into perspective. Its about attitude. Yes i am the butt of jokes but in the way that everyone is about different things! I know sometimes it seems hard and yes i do take things to heart too sometimes but it depends on my mood. Think on the best side of things. You can hide in small places! To be honest a great smile solves everything. Smile more and laugh it off.

  13. I guess it goes both ways... I remember being teased and finding it near impossible to get a date because I am unusually tall. Guys wanted nothing to do with me & I really took it hard. I remember crying a lot from the rejection & being lonely. As I got older some of those guys outgrew certain insecurities they had, ones that I had to deal with too in the opposite way, in that when I go out, people stare like I am a freak show and it can be embarrassing. When they did outgrow them, I would occasionally get approached by someone who was shorter, but with a completely different confidence than I had ever seen before in them. 10 years after high school and I have maintained myself pretty well, and while still way too tall, I think I look pretty decent. But I remember what it was like getting rejected for something I couldn’t' control (unless I hacked my legs off from the knee down) so I would never blow a guy off just because he's short. It's the person that matters! I noticed how comfortable they became and told me that they would be proud to stand next to me... because it didn't matter...In the end, it's ALL HORIZONTALLY IRRELEVANT!!! MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!!! Unusually Tall Women Need Love Too!!!

  15. I'm 4"11 and I'm female, I take it worse because I have a stocky frame, I'm not skinny, and I look stumpy. If I was 5"2 it'd make the world of difference. It's either make me taller, or anorexia/liposuction.

  16. I am 5 feet tall and just about the most successful attorney in Western North Carolina. I make lots of money, have a beautiful family, and many friends. My height has never held me back. What I want to say to you is that if the world thinks you are short, it could be because you are small inside. Rather than surgery, why don't you look at yourself in the mirror, count your blessings, and go do something BIG with your life. Some of the shortest people I have known have the biggest personalities and the largest hearts. In the end, you are who you are.... Be Big Inside. It works.

  19. Hey my name is eric and I'm only 5'3 or 5'4. I'm self conscious about my height but I really think that if I got this operation then it really wouldn't change anything. All it would prove would be that I coldnt even accept myself so how do I expect other people to accept me? In the end its all about choice and honestly being taller doesn't make you more attractive. It's just a way for you to be molded by other people's likings. Why?! There is only on of you and when you are dead and gone they universe in all of its entirety will never get to see your shape again? I regret being short but I know I'm a bigger man than a 6'4 giant person if I accept my height for what it is? Its me!!!!!!! And if people can't accept that then maybe they look like everyone else. You should feel sorry for them. Good luck out there guys! I may be short but you could also be on the freakishly tall side!!!!!!!

  20. Normally I don't comment on blogs, but when I read the 4FT tall girl saying all this "kind of makes me laugh" that kind of pissed me off.

Lady, you're a girl. Short is cute. It's ok. Hell, I love dating short girls. But as a guy (even though I'm AT LEAST 5'7") being short sucks more than you'll ever know. I hate it, and I feel truly sorry for the men out there even shorter than me.

  21. You guys are idiots! Surgery to make you taller? What is this high-tech world coming to? Designer babies, pills to stay drunk longer, it's sickening! Stay in the body that was made for you. If you were were really concerned about height, maybe you'd eat better or exercise more. But, heck, sometimes it's just a pituatary problem. Fricken deal with it! Is it even worth the pain? Gee wiz!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Our body wasn't 'made', Anonymous. Anything that can be changed for the better should be changed for the better.

  23. im reading these comments and wow, so many valid points! Everyone who is saying they are 5ft or over- i envy you! Im a teenage girl and have had medical confirmation that i have now finished growing... I am 4ft 9inches. Everyday i feel insuperior to my tall friends, feeling like they are having conversations to each other "over my head" and feeling- knowing that guys simply ignore me, yet why would they be attracted to me when i look like i am years younger than i am? I would love to go to university but the idea of this scares me as i know that i wont fit in and hear muttering behind my back of how "tiny that girl is". Fact is, my confidence is as low as a persons can be. I know that there are people worse off in the world and i try to not let my height get me down- but it does. This operation, however painful and expensive, will be worth something which i have wanted my whole life; self esteem. So i think the person who write the comment before mine, can BACK OFF and accept that everyone deserves the right to be happy and live without being self-consious, i.e. MISERABLE.if that means surgery then so be it. you've gotta go through pain to gain!
If you made it to the end of my not-so-mini essay... Thanks! haha x

  24. i would do anything to be 5 ft 6 or 5 ft 7.

I am a 5 ft 2 tall man. Everywhere I go, people say that i am too short. No ever says that to 5 ft 7 to 5 ft 4 men. They usually just say, don't worry some girls like dating short men.

Girls don't like dating short men when they're under 5 ft 3.

    ReplyDelete
  25. OUCH!

I am 5"6 and 1/2 and my fiance is 5"3. I love him with all of my heart. People say we are the cutest couple. I admit, I have been insecure before, but at the end of the day I love him and he is my best friend. It's been hard for him to get a job, but he has one and he works hard and succeeds in whatever he sets his mind to.

Guys, be proud if you are short. It's just height. Girls, don't hesitate on dating a guy who's shorter than you. It doesn't look weird, that's just what society has made it. You'll never know what might happen.

  26. I never minded my height until i got to uni and all the guys were taller than me... i'm 5ft8 and all my friends are 6ft 4+ one of them 6ft 7. Sometimes my height gets to me but them i just take off my top and show my ripped body and i feel better and get the girls. Just work on what you can and be happy with it. Also you can get shoes that make you look taller, thats cheaper than $120000.

  27. I am 5ft, and i am a pageant winner, a girlfriend, a student, a worker, a friend, a sister, a daughter, an intelligent woman and a person with confidence. Why in gods name would anyone let something so trivial as height define you and your moods. If people don't like that your short, well that's their problem to be honest. I'd much rather be 3ft tall than be as shallow as the people that knock all of you down. Fuck them, you have one life, don't let some stupid, ignorant arsehole's make it harder than it is anyway. Instead of laughing along with these people, as i have seen frequently written, pick out a flaw in them and announce it to them in front of their colleagues/friends, then ask them if it felt good? I bet they wont cross you again. Everytime some shallow woman says 'your too short' say to them 'well you have a fat arse, and I'm a decent enough person to put that aside!'

  28. I would pay whatever it takes to get out of being the short, stocky, ugly girl that my Asian parents and their friends talk about when they discuss their gorgeous, athletic, tall kids. "Oh C's still growing, just hit 5' 10"." "Oh dear, my girl is only 5 feet. How can I make her taller?" "It must be bad genes. Maybe feed her growth hormones."

My parents come back from whatever social gathering they were at, and..." WHY DON'T YOU GROW TALLER YOU DON'T SLEEP ENOUGH AND YOU'RE NEVER HAPPY AND YOU DON'T SWIM SO YOU'RE SHORT.

YOU EMBARRASS US WHENEVER WE TALK TO OUR FRIENDS BECAUSE YOU JUST WON'T MAKE AN EFFORT TO GROW. YOU NEED TO EAT MORE UN-ORGANIC FOOD. NO, I DON'T CARE IF IT'S UNHEALTHY OR TASTES BAD, YOU NEED TO BE TALLER OR NO ONE, NO GUY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND, WILL EVER MARRY YOU. AND THEN YOU'RE SCREWED FOR LIFE."

it makes me so depressed; i find it difficult to be friends with all of my beautiful friends. even after the doctor said i stopped growing, i tried to lose some weight so i wouldn't look as bad, but even then, my metabolism was just awful enough that even at 9 pm, i just didn't feel hungry (after 3 hours of hockey from 5 - 8).

maybe it's my upbringing, constantly being compared to smarter, taller, more athletic asian kids, but i would get this surgery in a second...

  29. If you think your height is bringing your life down, then the problem isn't your height, it's actually your self-deprecating attitude. It's like those women who complain about how they don't have D-cup breasts.

  30. I'm a 5'3 girl and I always say I'm glad I was not born a boy. I know men have it harder being short. Plus, in a few seconds I can grow to 5'7 in a few seconds in heels :)

  31. I'm 5"4 and (not bragging)a very handsome man. I workout to keep my body trim and muscular and I'm very athletic. Very often when I am driving in my car women at stop lights and intersections give me flirtatious looks and smiles and some even try to start conversations with me. When I'm standing up like at the grocery store or something most women don't even notice me. It's really embarrassing when I pull into the parking lot of a store and some woman stares at me before I get out of the car because when I do get out, the game is over. Most females just don't like short guys even if you are taller than they are.

    ReplyDelete
  32. All the people that are criticizing people for being self-conscious about their height, really need to back off. When you've been teased, bullied and ignored all your life for being short, then you'd do anything to gain just a couple of inches.

I'm barely 4'10-11" and am constantly treated like a child. People will ask me where my parents are or say "I'll tell you when you're older", even if I'm older than them. I get called names and even my family and friends are constantly insulting me. Employers are always extremely skeptical of everything I do. No one has ever found me attractive.

One of my most desperate goals in life was to reach just five foot. That never happened. I would seriously consider this surgery because it would be an amazing accomplishment for me to simply be 5' or even 5'1". While it's true everyone is beautiful in their own body and that it's just society telling us we need to fit in, that doesn't make it any easier to know everyone looks down on you (literally) and constantly belittles you!

To everyone who is willing to go through the expense and the terrible pain to make themselves look and feel better, kudos and good luck, I hope it works out. :)

  33. I am the 4ft girl who commented above.

To the guy who was irritated by my comment.

I am 4ft and have spent my life having surgery and wearing a 'corset' to correct a curvature of the spine. So yes! I feel that I do have a right to comment on here.

I have people staring, commenting and even laughing at me all the time. Does it bother me? Of course it does!

The point I was trying to make was that it is about attitude. Yes life is hard being small and I don't doubt it is harder for a man but for goodness sake! You're 5ft7! To tell me that being short sucks more than I will ever know! Now that really does make me laugh.

Now I am not meaning to be horrible here but I think I can talk on this subject. By all means have the surgery if you feel that it is right for you.

I was merely trying to point out that it is all about attitude! You have to make the best of what you have! No one wants to be with someone who is down on themselves and is unhappy all the time. If a girl doesn't want to be with you because you are short, do you really want to be with someone who is that shallow? I certainly wouldn't. I would hope my personality shines past my height.

Yes being small is rubbish but you don't have to let it ruin your life. I went to Uni, have a flat, boyfriend, good job etc.

I stand by my point of a smile works more than anything. Positive attitude to life all the way.

And if that doesnt work, well have a look at this website.....it might do the trick! fuckyeahshortguys.tumblr.com/

  34. I know that not every woman refuses to date a shorter guy but you would be surprised at how many women have a height preference of 6ft its a huge% . This is what kills me about a womans height preference they ware heels that are 3 to 5 inches tall and this is totally socially acceptable then they want to only be with men that are taller than they are in 5inch heels its a double standard its ok for women to cheat with heels but men who are short just have to deal with it its not fair this goes out to all women i know you cant understand our pain as short men but just imagine for a few minutes what your life would be like i you lived in a world where putting on makeup was not socially acceptable and men only desired women who were naturally beautiful without it and refused to date women who werent as pretty in the face without make up and if a woman did ware make up she was made fun of and rejected now you think about how many women who currently ware make up would pay twice the amount of 120,000 for a face lift if we lived in a world like the one i described lol not even that woman would pay even more for acne medicine a bottle of pimple cream would go for over a grand and that wouldnt even be the name brand stuff woman please think about this for just 5 mins then you can imagine how we feel because thetes not a girl out there that has not had a pimple or two

  35. I'm a teenage girl who is 5ft 8, because of my bone structure I am not skinny but I do try to stay as slim as possible so I look better.
I get laughed at, stared at and even talked about because of my height, this gets me down most of time, I try to laugh about it and ignore it but sometimes you just can't.

I have had a spine problem from birth so its not even like I did anything wrong to make me not grow.

All the boys say I'm cute but I know for sure that none of them would date me, they'd rather date the 5ft8 girl who think shes 'short'. I would do anything to be at least 5ft.

I hate when people say 'I'd love to be short like you' they have no idea what its like for men or women. For once I'd like to go out and not have someone stare at me.

People who say I have low self esteem and that's why i don't like being short has no idea what they are talking about, I used to be proud to be short until I heard this grown man and his wife talking and laughing about my height. The only reason I'm not confident and have a low self esteem is because people starting laughing and talking about me.

You don't know what its like until you've experienced it for yourself.

If someone offered me this surgery I would say yes without a second thought no matter what pain it may cause.

  36. I wish all it took for men was a positive attitude and a great smile. I have both and a great body. But I still struggle with might height. I've dated a lot of women, almost all where taller than me but all insisted that I be kept a secret. They just could not accept that fact that I was shorter than them. These relationships never lasted very long, in the end, each and every girl said that they just could not seriously date someone as short as me. It is not merely dating where I struggle because of my height, but no one takes me seriously, everyone thinks I'm a child and I am often too short to shop alone. As you can imagine, it is kind of depressing. It got really bad when I proposed to a women and was turned down for being to short. After that my attitude changed. I now wake up everyday wondering if I will have the courage to finally hang myself. This surgery might be the only thing that could stop me from doing it.

  39. I was born with turnersyndrome and come from South Africa.. I am 29 years old and a mear 1.45m tall and believe me its excruciating because I hear all the time how pretty I am if only I was taller.. To make matters worse I was born into a really good looking tall family. My mum was a model "the kind that was hot enough for boys to pin her pictures on their wall".. With killer legs and a fierce body at my age and My dad had exotic movie star good looks which my brother inherited both their best features. Girls throw themselves at him, his conceited and gets told how gorgeous he is. Then there's me tiny but with a huge personitaly and really loving and sweet. I've never dated or had anyone love. I've never had a decent job because people assume my I.Q ends with my height.. I've spent many nights crying myself to sleep and even considered suicide because of this. I hate being short, looking up at anyone older than ten yrs old is demoralising. I have so much in me that people choose not to see just because I don't stand eye level to them. I'd love to fall in love and actually stand face to face with the person and look like a grown up instead of a pretty little skinny twelve yr old girl. Anyway I'm with anyone who needs this for if nothing more than your own self respect and a reason to like what you see when you look into the mirror.

  41. I don't get the people saying that too short is why people think your ugly. Or pass you by. I'm not tall by any means last I checked I'm about 5' 7". Not tall and yeah sometimes was picked on about my height been there done that. But I've had plenty of girlfriends and gotten plenty of jobs or "promotions" so to speak over other people. I actually sometimes even get women that are way taller than me, so who cares. Yes there are many people out there that try to make you feel lower than you are do to your height, but come on. I am all about changing something you don't like or doing what makes you happy but this seems unwise all around. If it wear a pill or something that helped you to grow naturally or something then ok but BREAKING you healthy bones seems like a bad idea. And then ok now your tall and happy cause maybe you got a job but what are the long term affects like joint problems or osteoperosis? Is your life that meaningless that you'd risk death or ending up in a wheel chair for the rest of you life? Come on people I'm short and have a great life and have no problems with women or getting a job. And had lots of girls find me attractive when I go into a room, so might not be your height you should be worried about (sounds kinda like a scape-goat). Look at Tom Cruise (picked on yeah and most of it has little to do with his height) he's successful and has been a sex symbol so it's all in how you present yourself with what you have.

It left me with several orthopedic problems, one which happens to be my legs now have an inch and a half difference in length. My left leg turns in horribly when I walk because it is so much longer. I would love to have a permanent fix to at least that ortho problem. I don't want it for vanity reasons. I want it for a better quality of life.

  44. I'm glad most of the comments are positive. I'm a man 5-7 or 5-8 and healthy, getting older and used to being my height. If I won the lottery, I'd lay 100k down to be 5-10 barefoot. That is, I just want to be average when I walk in a restaurant with my wife and someone says, "where would you ladies like to sit. Oh, I'm sorry." Hollywood has this image where most women are nose or eye level to most men, that is if they are attractive. Nice guys can be shorter with same height women. For, glamous couples the woman stops at the guys chin. I started noticing this at about age 12. And in my life several relationships did not work either because she was too tall or I was too short. In business, short people are at a disadvantage. I would considered moving to Japan where men are shorter.

  45. I realize how height can affect people's lives. Before you kill yourself for being too short or too tall, lay on train tracks feet first and get you some Lt. Dan titanium legs at what ever height you want. I'm kidding of course, but don't kill yourself. Maybe try living in a wheel chair for a while.

  46. TO ANY GIRL COMMENTING ON THIS ARTICLE:
Unless you have small breasts & no butt, you have no opinion that can validate what you say. Being a small girl is cute. Every guy will agree, some guys like taller women, but will still date the short woman. It is the exact opposite for guys. A women can never understand what it's like to be a short MAN. If you haven't watched it already check out the video posted earlier, it explains it perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22gtSCJd9jA
I'm 5'7". Not super short, but short enough that when i go out with my friends (all at least 6'-or VERY near), I rarely get noticed first. Only after, when girls realize some of my friends are idiots do i usually get noticed.
    TO ANY ONE OVER 6'0':
I don't want to hear your opinion unless you have a brother/father that deals with this.
Oh, and to the idiot who wrote "maybe if you'd eat better or exercise more"--it's genetics, moron! Exercise won't change your height!. . . (??)

  47. "$120,000 — and it's not covered by insurance. Other than having your bones broken in about 4 places and a bit of pain...well you get the picture"

I think the author is a bit condescending. My Japanese doctor is 5-5 in heels, big heels! It's the only way he can see in people's ears. Poor little feller volunteers at the children's hospital. He looks like one of the kids. If not for his bank roll & sports car, he'd never get laid! And he's married!

  51. I'm 5'7" and work as an armed nuclear security officer. I have a degree in criminal justice and am a former law enforcement officer. I know alot of people here would not consider me short, but in my line of work and in life in general being under 5'10" just sucks! I take my job very seriously, keep up on all new trends, equipment, procedures, and laws. I stay very educated in my career and have watched complete idiots with little to no education or experience get promoted because they "look the part"! We don't have a single manager under 6 foot tall! I recently interviewed for a promotion, had all my commendations, education records, work records, and letters of recommendation from former employers and government officials, and was passed over for a 6'2" kid with ZERO college education! It is all about image, I don't care if you are the most highly educated person on earth, there is always that stigma of height=brains! If I could afford it, I would do it in a minute! Maybe I will start using my skill of being able to keep a 2" group at 900 yards to start knee capping 6 footers!

  52. Not only does this effect men but you have to think of women as well, this was talking about people that are above five foot. Some people don't even reach five foot and there would be no point in going through all that pain for 4". Personally if I done that I would only be 5 foot. People should just learn to be happy.

  56. being short... its what people notice first unless you sitting down of course, i had a guy once approach me (while i sitting down) he was without a doubt flirting with me and the moment I stood up he roared with laughter and said he didn't realise how short i was, he didn't want to be mean so he said "don't worry its cute"...and he didn't speak to me again the whole night....its definitely hard dating guys as a short female I'm not gonna sit here and say its harder for guys, but even my current boyfriend (who was no exception in commenting on my height when we met) says i "could be a it taller" played it off as a joke, but i'm sick and tired of people constantly commenting on my height does my head in!! im 4.9 btw

  57. Being short is not such a bad thing! It's all about confidence, the way you present yourself how hard u work and the heart you carry. Im 5 5 have dated women over 6 feet . If a women rejects you for your height is she really worth it? In the business world height doesn't dictate your status it s what u can do in the workplace that dictates your status! You can measure a person s height but the heart, determination, and persistance is what makes you successful tall or short!
