This writer thinks it’s the Mob, and chances are there could be something along that line, but from a tech standpoint I think we (the rest us that have been at the bad end of this nightmare) didn’t read up and take seriously how running a PC (our lives) were without some anti-virus protection, and were pretty bliss.  In the meantime, the Trojan horses marched in dumping their algorithmic payloads, and we all know who they are and we’re finding more new ones every day.

Now we are stuck with a whole bunch of “Root Kits” and some of us are “Zombies”…so if we can’t find an solution, well in tech world we call it image“reformatting” (starting with a clean drive) so with the spread of all the malware and bad algorithms running around, maybe that’s what it’s going to take, reformat all of us.  Madoff alone is one big “root kit” and how many more will be found?

One thing for sure, we have all learned how important anti-virus and anti-spyware protection is, or at least by now we should have.  Ignorance is not bliss and the worst thing you can do today is deprive yourself of some time to read and learn, only if just a few minutes each day.  In essence, maybe it was the Mob here, equipped with the best written and coded Trojan Horses around that worked their way through the world of virtual money, aka called “investments”.

Thanks goodness for the “smart” whistleblowers, who in the past were not readily accepted by all, but now they move into public office, why, transparency and honesty is wanted by most all.  For this reason alone, we need the “smart” people in office who can not only run anti-virus protection for all of us, but also teach everyone else to guard themselves against malware, we have too much of it controlling not only the financial world but also healthcare.  We just lost our Head of Cybersecurity so hopefully there’s a IT smart one on the way to replace him.  BD

There are still a lot of unanswered questions about the Wall Street meltdown. Questions like these:

  • Are the Mob’s fingerprints all over the Wall Street meltdown?
  • Is Bernie Madoff the “Meyer Lansky of Wall Street?”
  • Did the SEC fail to heed the whistleblowers’ alerts on Madoff because they were apathetic … or because they were terrified for the safety of their families?

Sound far-fetched? Maybe. But ask yourself: Is Bernie Madoff the Meyer Lansky of Wall Street? Mobsters aren’t all Sicilian, you know. Lansky wasn’t, but he was the financial wizard and kingpin of a big piece of organized crime. And as such, he could arrange for people — innocent people — to disappear, as a way to ensure their silence.
