This is a start, but it appears that all information will need to be entered manually and can be printed out on a card format.  I remember software doing that a few years ago that I used to recommend before all of this became available online.  Down the road, all Medicaid claim data will be populated for the patient and will be done in Spanish as well.  imageOn question remains the same here, who’s going to do the training and assist people in how to use it and understand the value????   Just because you build it doesn’t mean they will come.

Not too long ago, speaking of Medicaid records, one hospital in Orange County went live with having access to Medicaid records here too, and I wonder if their next progression will be to also create a Personal Health Record as well, seems logical.  BD

The Medical Quack: Orange County Hospital CalRHIO HIE Launch in ...

The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration is rolling out free personal health records software for the state's 2.6 million Medicaid recipients.
The PHR will be available within 30 days at FloridaHealthFinder.gov, accessible via a Medicaid I.D. number. The state is the first to offer all Medicaid recipients a PHR, says agency Secretary Holly Benson.
The PHR initially will enable users to enter and access personal health information; create a family history; track information such as weight, blood sugar levels, blood pressure and other health indicators; print an emergency contact wallet card that includes important health information; and access medical reference content.
Jacksonville, Fla.-based electronic data interchange vendor Availity LLC will host the PHR, supplied by HealthTrio LLC, Centennial, Colo. The reference content vendor is Boise, Idaho-based Healthwise.
In a second phase, the agency will populate PHRs with pertinent Medicaid claims data and also offer a Spanish version.
