For seniors the pricing is good of course as there’s no monthly premium or co-payments for office visits.  In other parts of the country Medicare Advantage rates are rising  and some plans are being dropped by insurers.  Scan has been around for 35 years in California and quite imagea while in Arizona.  It’s interesting to see what insurers are doing now.  The other day I saw Kaiser outsourcing behavioral and mental health to Optum, as they got fined a short while back for not having enough of those resources.  We don’t know what the Lifeprint Optum Medical Network doctors get paid at this point but here again are two companies who do the same thing partnering so Scan is not for profit while Optum is for profit.  I don’t know how long ago it was since Optum purchased Lifeprint.  BD
