If you are not aware of the isotope nuclear plant closure, read the related reading below as there may end up being some long waits for some nuclear cancer treatments due to the closure.

Now, back to the story here, this is strange as to why it was called “sexy”.  If you are going to record a conversation, whether or purpose or by accident, don’t leave the device in the restroom for reporters to find!  She still has her job though, sexy isotopes and all.  I’ve never heard of Cancer and Radioactive leaks being sexy before myself.  BD

TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Tuesday expressed confidence in Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt and accused the opposition of playing “cheap politics” after she came under heavy fire from the opposition during question period in the House of Commons.
On Monday night, a judge refused to grant an injunction against the Halifax Chronicle Herald, allowing the paper to publish a story on the contents of private conversations contained on a digital recorder, in which Raitt is heard describing a shortage of medical isotopes as “sexy”.

"But it’s sexy," says Ms. Raitt. "Radioactive leaks. Cancer."

"Nuclear contamination," says Ms. MacDonnell.

"But it’s only about money," says Ms. Raitt.

The news broke less than a week after a Canadian television station reported that documents from Raitt's department – some marked 'secret' - were left at its Ottawa studio for six days without any sign from Natural Resources Canada that they had been missed.
Although Raitt kept her job, her 26-year-old director of communications, Jasmine MacDonnell, took the blame for the breach and resigned.
In fact, it was MacDonnell who apparently misplaced the audio recorder in a bathroom at the House of Commons, where it was found earlier this year by a reporter.

  1. Typical, you can't but laugh and smile upon the stupidity and ignorance of some people. But I must say, the phrase is pretty catchy, sexy isotopes...haha.

    Take care, Lorne
