If you have followed along in the last couple years we had Misys and Allscripts merge and now the merge with Eclipsys.  The Misys portion of the business is going to imagecontinue with their financial interests.  The link below was from March of 2008 with the Misys-Allscripts merge.

In other recent news from January of this year, CVS began switching clients to Allscripts' e-prescribing tool and it will stop offering its iScribe prescription tool and transition thousands of clients to products made by Allscripts.

The alliances and partners are changing as well.  This will be interesting as time moves forward to see if there are any changes with intermingling software applications as Misys over the years grew by acquisitions and combining software applications, but that was also when things were a bit smaller in size.  BD  

June 9 (Bloomberg) -- Misys Plc said it would sell its majority stake in the Allscripts health-care information business for about $1.3 billion, facilitating an all-stock merger between the unit and Eclipsys Corp.

Misys rose as much as 26 percent in London trading, after the Evesham, U.K.-based provider of industry-specific software said in a statement that it will return most of the proceeds from the sale of its 54.6 percent shareholding to investors.

U.S. health-care computing providers are looking to take advantage of reform legislation passed by Congress that emphasizes new technologies to reduce the costs of patient care. The combined Allscripts and Eclipsys client base will include about 180,000 physicians, the companies said.
