There’s a lot on the table today and things are getting rowdy as citizens want reform, especially in healthcare.  This congressman feels that Congress needs to participate themselves in a national plan, which is really not a bad idea so everyone is involved.  Recently in testimonies in the Senate, imageangry doctors had to be escorted out too.

Is the end of Town Hall meetings as we know them?  Chances are perhaps more will be held in a Webcam internet format, well for those who can either learn or have the staff members who can help them use modern technology.   BD

Reports are coming in today that Congressmen and Senators on Capitol Hill are so afraid of the ire of their constituents back home that they are canceling town hall meetings right and left:

Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, congressmen fearful for their safety — welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress.

On the eve of the August recess, members are reporting meetings that have gone terribly awry, marked by angry, sign-carrying mobs and disruptive behavior. In at least one case, a congressman has stopped holding town hall events because the situation has spiraled so far out of control.
